Not sure how to open Salofalk suppositories

Hi, I'm actually posting on behalf of a friend with colitis, but she was diagnosed yesterday and is struggling to open the newly-prescribed Salofalk suppositories, I figured that tons of you will have been on them / are on them... so what's the knack?! Thanks! I've never used them because I've always used enemas ...

Kudos to you for helping a friend!

I don’t tolerate salofalk, but when I tried it, I think I just carefully tore and peeled back the foil? I could be misremembering. I stored them in a cool closet and just tried to be a little delicate about opening. I’m curious what exactly your friend is finding difficult? Could they be too warm?

I think I used a small pair of sizzors to start. It's been years since I tried them. I hope they work for your friend. Beware...if they leak out after dissolving, it may not come out of your bed sheets or underwear.

I think if you have dry hands, you can see on the top separated tiny bit and easily peel off but I would recommend her to use vitamin e oil around area before she inserts it. It will help slide it in.
