10,000 of D3 every morning
I need to take 5,000 IU of D3 every day to maintain optimum blood levels between 50 and 60 ng/ml. If you are taking 10,000 IU a day then you should get your blood levels tested to make sure that you are not overdosing.
Overdosing Vit D can have very serious side effects.

The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. Vitamin D toxicity might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones.
