anyone had any experience with Mutaflor? it's not sold in USA but I did some research and found this pharmacy online from Canada that sells it. I just placed an order for 80 pills with shipping and all went to about 125 bucks, expensive...
Anyone has done any research on this? From what I understand this is not a probiotic, it's a bacteria that essentially controls the bad bacteria in the gut, it starves them of oxygen. so it's not a cure by far, but let me know your thoughts.
it's banned since 2013 by the FDA here in USA, but sold everywhere else in the world pretty much. Germany, UK, Canada.
Lastly, what about VSL 4, anyone has any experience with that?

D...it is a probiotic, but only one strain. Let us know how you do on it.

😅 that was dumb of me. Of course it’s a probiotic. I did find the other threads, but I figured I’ll start a new one since those were very old, to see if anybody’s actively using it. Once I start it I will keep everyone posted

quick update: I got the mutaflor yesterday, surprisingly fast. was sent by an address in Washington state, ice-packs were still cold, they said it would take 2 weeks, it arrived in about 3-4 days. took first 2 pills last night, my gut did not like it as it sped up my digestive system and 1 of the pills came out the way it went in smile
But I took the second dose this morning and the third 30 mins ago. so far I'm holding it in ok.
No difference in symptoms so far. will keep you posted

So I put the content of 1 VSL4 pill in the mesalamine enema last night and squeezed it in.
No victory lap yet, but today was better than yesterday, and yesterday was better than the day before. today the mucus stopped for the first time in 3 months.
I'm continuing Mutaflor 2 pills in AM and 2 pills in PM. I can't take it in afternoon because I'm at work and I don't wanna leave it in the fridge there for all to see.

Wow that's amazing, how do you get the VSL4 into the enema? I'd love to try that. I have a lot of mucus so it really intrigues me.

I want to curb my enthusiasm here, but I've had success with VSL4 into the mesalamine enema. in 2-3 days my mucus stopped and urgency subsided. I can now fart! yes I can fart smile - but the inflammation is taking it's time to go down. It's been a week and I can see a big difference. I still take the Mutaflor 2x day 2 pills in AM and 2 pills in PM.
the way I put VSL into my enema: I unscrew the cap off the mesalamine enema, then empty one pill's contents inside the enema. Be careful, wash hands before and after, keep everything clean, do not drop anything else inside the enema. Put the cap back on, shake it really really well, before inserting it squeeze out all the air until you see liquid enema coming out so no air goes into your colon because it just bothers, then get the enema inside. If you cannot hold the entire bottle, do 1/2, wait some time, go to the bathroom if you have to, and go back and do the second 1/2. DO NOT let the enema with VSL sit for more than vew hours outside, because VSL is a live culture

I have no experience with Mutaflor but I use Visbiome probiotics and it has greatly helped me.

Visbiome has dairy and sadly bothers me ☹️
I noticed Mutaflor is in a gastric-resistant hard capsule. Why dont they use this same capsules for all probiotics?? Especially the multi-strain ones. It’s a shame. If they did we would have much better results

Help! My poop now is decently formed and continuous, but the problem is I see spots of blood every 3-5 inches along the poop from beginning to end - it's been going like this for a several weeks. So decently formed stool but spots of blood - so my ulcerations are active - I have no cramps, I go usually 1 or 2 times per day, slight urgency only when it's time to go #2, so I'm surprised when my stool is improving so well, why am I still having open ulcers in my colon? food-related?
I'm Dairy Free, I'm on 45 MG Rinvoq, Mutaflor probiotic 4 pills a day, 1 VSL 4 pill emptied into the Mesalamine enema at night and inserted rectally into my colon.
