Hello all, well the positive news continues from my side. I did my colonoscopy on 10/14 so a week or so ago, they also did endoscopy while I was knocked out. So long story short, I was doing well running up to the C-scope and my doctor said she was very happy with what she saw. She took multiple samples and also removed an "inflammatory cyst" she said which she did not seem concerned about at all. in her words "I've never seen your colon in such good shape". I have appt with her in early November to go over the results, because so far they have not called me with anything assuming no news is good news.
I continue on mutaflor 2 pills 2x day 30 mins before food. I also take the VSL4 in a mesalamine enema at night as needed, not every night. I've also started to lift weights when I can, I've lowered the dose of Rinvoq to 15 mg. I am back to my daily routine doing normal things, but still maintain a pretty strict diet staying away from dairy, sugars, juices, no caffeine , and other trigger foods. I eliminated potatoes btw, I think they were doing damage, so no night-shade veggies for me. No honey either which I'm disappointed. And I also did some food intolerance test which showed I was sensitive towards melon, peas, crab, hazelnut. so I'm staying away from those foods too
I'll continue to lift weights and exercise - the research continues to point towards more exercise and weight lifting for better health. And lifting heavy weights is associated with better managing of colitis too.
that's all for now, I'm happy, I'll keep you guys posted after my dr. appt regarding the biopsies
