On the surface you and I seemed to have many disagreements over the years, but not really. We both avoided the Big Gun meds and I probably would have followed a UC protocol very similar to yours if I weren't so allergic to mesalamines.

IAC...yes, but not really lol. It's unfortunate not all are able to use mesalamines.
I had an amazing doctor for 25 years who answered all my questions and explained the how, why and what etc., and he gave me the freedom for me to treat my flare symptoms as I understood them. I was one of a few who stuck with that regimen, apparently. I'm grateful to also have a GI now who supports that treatment plan. I hope it continues to be OK for me.
