Starting Rinvoq soon as attempts to get into remission via combos of Mtx, Humira and Entyvio failed over 2 year period.

What have been peoples experiences on Rinvoq? How long before you noticed a significant improvement?

Hi Charlie, sorry to hear Entyvio did not work for you. Sounds like I maybe having to try Rinvoq in the near future too. I've been on Entyvio from December 2024, and I only had 4 weeks of no UC flare symptoms. After changing my dose to every 4 weeks, I'm getting more and more # 6-7 bms than I ever had.
I will be talking to my GI next week.
There are a few of us on this board taking Rinvoq with great success, and some have terrible side effects. I've read some reviews and am worried about the listed possible side effects. And don't know if it's covered in my medical plan. However, the thought of a daily pill sounds easier than monthly infusions.
Keep posting on your decision and progress.

I saw improvements on it within 3 days and I was in a major flare. Incredible drug that works very quickly. I apologize to the forum for not being on lately. Remission leads to laziness.

Charlie.. From the first few days of beginning Rinvoq my symptoms just quit. It was amazing because I had been having a terrible flare. It had gotten to the point that I was actually afraid to go out of my house, in fear of having an 'accident'. I too had tried Entyvio and Humira Remicade had worked for me for over 20 years until I built up antibodies to it. The only side effect that I've noticed from Rinvoq has been a bit of acne. It's not bad, but I'd never had it before. I will agree with barnsbury....get ALL of your vaccinations prior to beginning Rinvoq. It does pretty much kill your immune system. I had the shingles vaccinations and still got a mild case of shingles. So do all you can in the way of prevention. I wish you the best of luck and you should know, pretty quickly, whether it will work for you or not.
