Steve,
Reach out to your GI via the portal or call them Monday morning...unless you are experiencing fevers, chills, raised larger red boil like areas that are painful, if you start vomiting, have uncontrollable nausea and can not eat or drink causing dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. (Those are all scenarios where you need to contact your GI office via phone asap)
Have you seen any improvement with Prednisone? Are you going fewer times per day? Are you seeing blood in your stool? Is the output acid like and causing you pain? Are you keeping a food diary so that you can chart food that might make your flare worse? (If not you should,)
You really need to get fecal testing completed for calprotectin (inflammation) and stool analysis ( fat, blood, parasite, infection etc...) checked plus you need blood tests (CBC, CMP and CRP) done to see what's going on. Your GI should be doing that to chart your progress. (Mine did it every 2 weeks unless I had issues) If you have been taking Prednisone for 3 days and you still have yellow diarrhea and you haven't seen improvement you need to contact your GI.
The squeaky wheel gets the attention and you have got to advocate for yourself in order to get the care your body requires.
Please let us know how it goes.
