Is there a limit to how much probiotic you can take?

I have noticed that if I take only one Culturelle capsule I get limited results, but with two capsules twice a day I feel great. I am planning to go up to even two capsules three time a day and eliminate drug therapy altogether.

Is this a wise thing to do?
I don't think I've heard of anyone dying from probiotic overdose...

I believe the reason 5_ASAs can reduce the risk of cancer is because they control the inflammation. If probiotics or some other natural product was working to control someone's inflammation, they, too, would reduce the risk of colon cancer. The risk comes from having inflammation over an extended period of time. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Gargamel - I don't think you can take too many probiotics.

I don't know what the impact of taking six culterelles a day will be...what's the max two pills twice a day? Either way, when I exceed the max a few months ago I couldn't sleep, I was extremly restless and nautious, so be careful.

ps.
It might be better to take the max dosage and stick to a restricitive diet and see how that goes...and remember with probiotics, it can take days or even weeks before you see results.
