UC and Thyroid problems?

Well my UC has been under control for some time now. However I have been soooo fatigued. Among other things.

I went to a endocrinologist, to have my hormones checked. Maybe look into Bio Identical hormones. After talking with me she said it really sounds like my thyroid. Of course I have been researching like mad now and it does appear that I am the poster child for thyroid disease. Today I read that you are at higher risk if anyone in your family has rheumatoid arthritis or COLITIS   My Mom has rheumatoid. I had a lot of blood test done and meet with the doctor this Friday. Anyone else here have thyroid problems also?

I have been hypothyroid for about 4 years (or at least, that's when I was diagnosed). For me, it has been a simple matter of taking thyroid hormones to boost the function. I tinkered with dosage somewhat, but I haven't had any problems. I'm sure there's some relationship with the UC, inasmuch as there's a relationship between everything that goes on in our bodies, but I haven't given it a lot of thought. Just another pill to take!
