Severe abdominal pain have you ever been prescribed pain meds?

Im in so much pain I am crying. Just wondering.

With me - depends on source and area of pain.  I take Tylenol for arthritis anyway.  A lot of times the pain is gas and gas-x helps or Beano before I eat.  Knowing why you have pain is important - or is it cramping?

If it's making u cry, I think you should go to the ER. They can give you pain medicine, and send u home with some too. I have some pain medicine on hand for when I have abdominal pain.

definitely go to doctor and get pain meds!
i had very severe cramping and acute abdominal pain. doc gave me codene for medium pain and then oxycontins for acute pain.
if you need it take it.
there is no reason whatsoever to not take it. why suffer more than you have to?

Yes, go by all means. I get that too Shelly and it's not pleasant. I put up with it for weeks before I went.

     Because of the proctitis, my pain is located in the rectum and sometimes is so bad it radiates not only into the vaginal area but down into my legs.  My doctor prescribed hydrocodone and it works wonders.  I try not to overdue it though because my liver enzyme levels have been elevated and hydrocodone contains 500 mgm of tylenol which has been proven to cause liver damage.

Been taking 2600 mg. Tylenol for years for arthritis.  Now I see they recommend less.  I can't take any narcotics so I have to rely on Tylenol and hope my liver remains ok.  I don't think I have ever had the kind of pain you are talking about - thank goodness!  (only gall bladder attacks and childbirth)
