Humira failing?

I have used Humira for about 18 months. My UC is minor problem compared to arthritis flares that seem to come with my UC.

Humira has kept me from having nasty join flares since May 2008. In the last month it seems like my UC is acting up and my joint issues are resurfacing.

Anyone else have any experience with Humira and reaching a point where its efficacy starts to wane? Currently on one pen every other week. Dr. does not want to go weekly due to risk of serious infection.
Rheumy wants me to consider methotrexate on top of Humira. After 11 years of battling my colon, joint issues and possible psc..... this "crap" gets old.....

I don't want to take meds, I don't want to have joint pain, I don't want to have my energy sapped... arrrggg!!

I'm having some issues myself, my GI let me up my Humira to 2 shots every other week. Maybe you could try that. Your question about the Humira failing, is kinda making me wonder the same thing. But.... I kinda doubt it... I sure hope not. ;)

I find the humera and methotrexate work very well together personally, i like to think that not only both of these drugs help control pain but they also help with joint damage and Deterioration to!

Personally since being on both sets of meds for about a year and a half i have found that my energy levels have increased and i dont experience any joint pains at all now a days!

everyone is differenrt though
