Saw a rheumatologist about
the joint pain and he recommends Remicade for the control of the UC and the joint pain. Nervous to have my 9 yr old begin this after all the terrible side effects of other meds (Asacol, Imuran, Purinethol).

I'm almost 60 and hesitating to begin this, Big Dog, so I can understand your concern... at 9, it must be so much worse. I'm wishing for the best for you.

Didn't feel there were many options left for us, so I welcomed the Remicade. Many, many success stories. It has been approved for other conditions for a long while. Always an individual decision, but we have had a great year, and nothing else gave us a normal day but this. Liquid gold.... keep reading to feel you know the risk/reward levels, maybe then things will clear up for you. Best, Katmom
