He's a doll and I have so much fun with him, but I also miss my little squishy newborn.

I will tell you how it happened if you can tell me how my baby is now 18!!! lol They grow up so fast so savor every moment with them because the next thing you will know, you will be helping them set up student loans for college! <-- did this last week for my son :(

Aww, he's very sweet...I don't know how they grow up so fast. My nieces are still my babies and they are 35 years old (man am I ever a geezer.) Enjoy him tongue

My baby boy is 18 months old today too!!! And boy do I know what you mean! I miss my little man all wrapped up in a receiving blanket like a burrito and being able to just sit and stare at him all day!

Yes, jse! I miss so much about the newborn stage....they're so innocent! But I don't miss feeling like I did after he was born, that's for sure (or miss being up multiple times a night)!!!

That's funny our boys share a birthday...I hope his name isn't Ben, because that would be waaaaay to weird!

Each age has pleasures for the parents... both up and downs, actually. I remember being so surprised, when my kids were like 4 and 7, that we suddenly could go see relatives without lugging a U-Haul's worth of stuff and diapers ..... what freedom that realization brought!

Babies are great. Sigh.

This is my favorite age in babies. My niece is 16 months and she has so much personality. She so much fun now that she's old enough to interact and say a few words.

My little girl just turned 13 months and it's starting to be so much fun (vs. just cute to look at & squishy). She has her own little personality and I find myself laughing daily at something she does. Something to be said for a hearty laugh every day and gave me so much new perspective to what's important in life.

I know the time flies it seems.  My youngest is 2 and I cannot believe it!!

Yep, it does seem that one day we're dealing with their diaper mess & the next they're towering over us & going off to college. Hard to believe that someone 6 feet 4 once fit in your lap! (Case of my godson.) / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

I just said that about my client's grandson who is now walking and talking and soon to be two....

Thanks, all...I definitely do enjoy him.  He's just a hoot! 

Quicny, we'd probably start trying before too much longer if it weren't for the fact that we're still trying to get moved back closer to family, and I'm therefore on the hunt for a new job (I have a PhD, husband has an MS, so since I have a higher earning potential and a smaller job base, I have to find a job first). A "dream job" for me has JUST been posted, in our target area...so no baby making yet!
