Yes, the doctor mentioned they are trying to avoid surgery if possible.
Her quality of life has been afffected greatly this past year, as I see everyone here on the forum goes through also.
Alternative treatments are not encouraged at all, just dismissed . That's OK, I will continue to research and read with all the breath I have for my girl.
Blood counts and liver function tests are normal range.
The mixture of the Prednisone(seems to be helping-her insomnia stinks) with the Remicade and Methotrexate and now Apriso! The GI said he goes Remicade and Methotrexate, while some other GI docs go Remi and Humira.
Thankfully, this morning she was able to go to school. We are encouraging her to move her food selection slowly, as she is still recovering from the flare.
