another good reason to keep using the topical medication
mean disease duration was 18 years, most tumors found in the rectosigmoid

Notice that 100% had extensive disease.

I do't think it matters if it's extensive....untreated slow simmering inflammation just barely visible might cause the same result.
Rectal meds...I do think they're a good thing, regardless.
