Pouchitis...still struggling!

My daughter has been on Cipro for 9 days, but yesterday she started feeling really bad again...like she did before her pouchitis diagnosis. Up all last night pooping and in pain. She even said "I feel like the Cipro stopped working". Sooo...her dr is adding Flagyl to the Cipro. I sure hope she responds quickly like she did with the Cipro. She is all set to go back to school on Monday! Wish us luck. smilewinkgrin

good luck with that. There are several other antibiotics that can be used too. And a lot of people have to "dose" the antiobiotics, switching them around to keep them effective. So just keep that in mind if need me.

Years ago, I took Cipro and had a very strong negative reaction.
NEVER AGAIN.

Is your daughter taking probiotics to combat the effects of the antibiotic?
Poor kid....I hope she feels better.
