Big stress, need to vent, afraid to start flare from it

Hello everyone.

So like some of you know i went to live in the UK from Canada last october and was on a fiance visa which didn't allow me to work or volunteer for months.
I suffered a lot from homesick, loneliness and just being plain bored!

We applied for my spouse visa (we got married in January) in febuary and usually it takes about 4-6 weeks to treat.
But then the uk border agency got rid of 25% of their staff and with the Olympics at that time got about 5 times more applications. So it means after 6 months still NO news from the visa. So still can't work, still can't volunteer, still don't have my passport and we can't plan any holidays to Canada (they have my husbands passport too).
On top of that we have neighbourgs with some domestic violence episodes and live in a bad area where having a casual walk in the evening is not advisable.

We can't move at the moment are we are on only one salary... but wait WAS cause yesterday my husband was made redundant. When I thought it couldn't get worst. He works at an agency for a bit telecom company and they restructured and he was the last one employed. So nothing to do with him. But now we are just well... I don't know how to put it.

I can't rely on my family as they are far, I can't visit them either. I fell helpless as legally I still can't work and help my husband. I would like to take off pressure from him so he could concentrate on finding a job he likes instead of the first thing around.

We can't move either and worst if my husband don't find work in 2 months we will have to move to his parents.... I feel frustrated as ive been always independent in my life and now I'm out of ressources and can't fix anything.

This is one of the biggest stress i have had in my life so far and I'm afraid it might trigger my uc which is doing so much better. I know everything happens for a reason and I know we will have a different look on it in a few weeks time. But now im just panicked.

Andrina thanks. Yes difficult to move and be thrown things at you on top of trying to adapt to your new home.
In the uk meds are covered. My fiance visa entitles me to use meds and gps and hospitals.

And better they have a plan for people that needs many meds like us. So usually its 7.40 pounds a prescription but i pay 8.50 pounds a month and im allowed unlimited meds.

Well we still have enough for 2-3 months without moving to his parents.
I like to walk and do cat boot sales or charity shops. Cooking and photography.

When did you move?

The main issue has to be your meds; as long as you can get them everything else will work out. Try not to panic. (I know that's not easy!) You may have read our posts last fall when Living Again & I were venting about noisy, irresponsible upstairs neighbors; it can be so tiring & frustrating having to deal with this. At least you'll know you're not alone & can "talk" to us about it whenever it gets on your nerves. Also, the Olympics have finished-- so hopefully the govt. will process your papers soon.
