after by big flare after giving birth in june they put me on imuran and i was feeling great!!! last couple of days ive had cramps and to my suprise this morning there was a bit of blood. i thought i would go back in remission for a while. its nothing big yet i just saw a bit of blood on my stool and they where formed and everything i might of seen some mucus too but hard to tell it if was mucus or the rest of the salofalk suppository i took last night. why does this have to happen right before the hollidays. i have have to travel next week!! i just hope it doesnt go into a full blown flare. i can deal with a bit of cramping and a bit of blood but no diareah. what should i try to do to get this under control or not get any worlse? i dont see my GI till the 7th of jan.

I don't like Dr. Dao. She's cold and pessimistic. She never smiles, doesn't have a human approach. Of course, opinion might differ, but let's just say I'm not the only one who thinks this.....

Sorry to hear you're having a few issues. I would say that when that happens to me in an otherwise okay time, I try to slow my life down and de-stress. It's usually a sign that my body is being pushed too far and that I need rest. Often this does the trick when coupled with healthy eating and usual supplements like probiotics and maybe some aloe-vera juice & L glutamine.
You seem a bit worried about
the travel and such. That stress won't help. Try to take a few deep breaths and be as calm as you can be.
Good luck.

I would only suggest the enemas nightly and the supps during the day since your symptoms aren't extreme.
Just out of curiosity...are you breastfeeding and just made a change? any period as of yet?
The holiday stressors can be HUGE...they are for me this year. Especially if you're travelling with a new baby (first Christmas for that too).
Hang tough....be ticked...normal! Sucks bigtime, however!

I notice while I am on 6mp, I've had a few periods where I thought things were going to flare up but they calmed and everything was okay. Try to think positive, maybe you're just having a little blip in the road and it will not progress to anything more than a little blood and mucous.

hateuc...because she doesn't have serious enough symptoms to warrant it. As well...it's a lot of mesalamine, which can also cause some symptoms leading some to believe they're getting worse.
Things take time...but adding a suppository in the day time is a bit of added med especially for the lower rectum.
