This may be a really dumb question, but can scabs form in our digestive tract?

Lately, I have been having nicely formed stool, but it comes with scabby looking blood and pain to the point of dry heaving most mornings. Oh yea...don't forget the exhaustion. Stool is only 1-2 daily.

I have been off Pred since Jan 30 and do not want to go back!

I wouldn't call them scabs in the traditional sense but perhaps dried or old blood clots that "shed" as the colon is healing. But the pain your experiencing will hopefully lessen soon.

that would be pooled blood mixed with mucus and stool. or clots as sherry stated.
