Around 3 weeks ago I had a mini flare up usual symptoms. But if I flare up properly it usually takes 2 weeks to manifest before proper bloody diahreah comes, otherwise it's just normal watery diahreah until then. But I had one day where I had incontinence but it was a small amount and I looked and there was no stool there or crap in other words. It was blood but dark red and gooey/mucus?

What does this mean? in the past if I've had it develop into blood it's always bright red blood (fresh). So this must be old? it was a complete one off and I never had it again since. Any ideas?

My GI doesn't really bother about me pretty much neglected I did mention it but they weren't really interested, everytime I google I keep coming across cancer which makes me paranoid? Could it maybe of been a stomach ulcer or something?

Dark blood is usually from higher in the GI tract (older) blood. Your doctor should listen to your concerns, answer your questions so that you are not needlessly worrying.

new doctor whom will listen to you.

Black blood comes from the stomach (food-poisoning, stomach ulcers, etc). Dark red comes from somewhere in the small intestine (high or low depending on darkness). Red and bright red comes from the large intestine. The brighter red the blood is, the fresher it is, which indicates how close to the rectum it originates. If you had really bright red stuff it could be from a hemorrhoid near the rectum, or irritation in the rectum from the tip of an enema bottle.

We all have a hint of blood in varying colors from time to time in our stool. It isn't anything to worry about if you see it only the once. If it is something you are seeing with regularity then it indicates something serious you should get checked out.

I agree with the other posters that it "could" be an indication of older blood. That said, you mentioned it was dark with mucus, etc. This could just be mucus and blood mixing which creates a darker blood. I had the same issue you are detailing and my G.I quickly determined it was just the blood and mucus mixing.

It's higher up. I had a nasty diverticular bleed about 3 years back coming from sigmoid and it was bright red.
