Who is taking this?
What are your results?
Are you taking 6 hour colostrum?
Are you taking low heat treated colostrum?
Do/did you react to milk products?
Im thinking of adding in Colostrum as my first step back into milk containing products.

i've taken it regularly but have since stopped. i don't think it made much of a difference after a while.
it was the first milk product i added back into my diet and i'd been a vegan before that. i didn't have a bad reaction to it.
i used symbiotics brand and took up to 3 scoops a day.

We used symbiotics as well. Tolerance didn't seem to be an issue but it didn't stop our current flare so we stopped. It's from grass fed cows raised without abx etc.

Im interested in it for it's lactoferrin for my methylation cycle, a gentle way to start testing dairy tolerance and grow the right gut bacteria... and general immune support. I take so many things I really want to make sure adding it will be worth it. LOL
My girls both react to lactose and casein. After testing it on myself, my hope was to use it on them.
Joanna, did you ever react to lactose or casein containing things.

I've been taking Now Foods colostrum with my probiotic for six weeks. I also tried increasing it during my recent cold.
It is 12 hour colostrum, with minimal heat treatment.
I do not have lactose intolerance or casein / whey allergies.
I am taking it to support my probiotic. I do not have any empirical results that it is doing that, or anything else, but it also hasn't given me any reason to stop taking it either.

i used to be extremely lactose intolerant growing up and any time i had dairy, i'd get a lot of digestive problems. even as a baby, all my formula had to be soy formula.
i've wondered if it's because i was just eating regular dairy- you know, that crap stuff, and nothing antibiotic-free, grass fed. i don't eat high lactose foods at all. the colostrum has very little lactose in it. everything i eat now is fermented just because lactose is sugar and i'm doing low carb.

I tried it for about
6 months with no results, what works for some doesn't work for all, it's trial and error.

Thanks in advance.

Now Foods Colostrum
500mg, one in the morning with breakfast and one at bedtime with my probiotic. My Whole Foods Market has this brand, but my health food store does not.
*Manufacturer's link, not sales based site.

I dont understand the following about
colostrum..
If they heat it then dry it, how is it anything good anymore besides, say, dried milk. They advertise things like IGG 40%.. but what the heck does that even mean after processing?
Also, Im obviously a bit freaked out about
the possibility of things like mad cow or other bovine related diseases if the colostrum isnt heated...Cows have crazy germs.
doc says im taking enough crap right now, that I need patience. The thing is, Ive went from nonfunctioning to 75% functioning so quick that Its so close I want to take something to put it over the edge into fully functioning.. besides time. Time takes so long.
I might revisit colostrum again in the future since nobody is really too excited about
their results with it. Thanks for your feedback
