Cimzia anyone?

My GI had mentioned to me 6MP before my emergency Remi infusion, but now he has mentioned Cimzia bc he really doesnt want me on Remi long term, he feels im too young for that...does anyone take Cimzia? How does that work for you?

Taking cimzia is basically taking the same thing as remicade only it is less affective for our disease. Remicade is the king of uc biologics right now. Not sure why your doctor doesnt want you on it if it is helping. Seems like he doesnt understand how this disease works. You must stick with what works!! Not stop it.

I think he just feels that it is too strong of a medication to go to right away, he says he wants to try other things before Remicade to see too, he says Remi is way too toxic and the chance of cancer is much higher, so, we shouldn't stay on that.
