mostly to get my rx renewed for my asthma inhalers - and also talk about various other assorted afflictions of the day -

to my knowledge, he hasn't ordered any labs - but I would like to have some blood work done before I see him in January -

so the question is, what should I look at on the menu ?

I'm thinking cdc, crp, psa, & tsh -----------

any thoughts ?

Well, whens the last time you got labs done?

I... have never had my blood taken. And I'm 27 years old!
Tomorrow I go in for full labs.... EVERYTHING.

Hoping to shed some light on this 5 month 1st flare.

A bit scared but excited to see all the results :) :)

ya, I don't remember the last time - I don't think I've had any done with this doc -

so what exactly to you get with "full" labs ? I'm assuming the cdc, but what else ?

No idea! :) since I've never had any done.
She just told me they were gunna take a lot of blood and check everything.

So... enzymes, deficiencies, counts... eep, I dunno!

i get cbc (complete blood count), vit d, iron, liver enzymes, crp, sed rate, electrolytes, albumin/protein, creatinine, and bilirubin as part of my regular tests.

My humble recommendations, if you can afford it:

CMP
CBC
Lipid Panel
Ferritin
TSH
CRP
VIT-D
Ammonia
Homocysteine

Please post the results! I love tracking this stuff, personally. :D

Hey Soy, No it is actually not part of the regular CBC...it needs to be requested. Also some insurance companies will only pay for it once per year. (which won't be a problem for you since you haven't had bloodwork lately, but just fyi)

When I get my results ill let you know what I had done... since I'm not sure. Haha.
All I know is they took three full viles of my life juice from me and I can't wait to find out the results.
I'll def be posting a thread about it for those nosey people interested ;)

sounds like miller time to replace those lost fluids :-)

for some weird reason I've got beer on my mind this morning - just pulled out my BUBBIES sour krout and thought man, a beer would go great with that -
