It's not really trusting yourself instead of a company, though. I mean, you're still using a mesalamine that was produced by a company, right? So in that light, there's really no difference.
I personally don't know if I'd do it, because I'm not sure how effective it might be. I wonder if there are some additional ingredients in the actual mesalamine enemas that help them "stick" to the walls of the colon, so to speak.
At any rate, the generic enemas should cost a lot less than the Canasa (suppositories), because Canasa is only available in the name-brand form. Or can you just not get an Rx for the enemas, but you could the supps?
