Okay, time to start thinking about my next colonoscopy prep. To recap my post in November - I failed my last colonoscopy because I was not cleaned out enough (mainly due to not drinking enough fluids along with the prep).
This time around:
I am trying out a different prep (Pico-Salax)
I will try to get as much fluid into me as possible without actually bursting
I will do the clear-fluids for two days before instead of just one
and...
I want to consume foods that are easy/fast to digest one or two days prior to the clear-fluids days.
I think I'm now over-thinking this and getting myself all confused as to what would be quick and easy to digest (and still be somewhat satisfying so I don't end up eating my own arm by the end of it all). I'm thinking - cream soups, like cream of mushroom, cream of chicken? White rice, rice pudding? Applesauce?? What about yogurt (plain, not containing fruit or anything)? What about cereal that I normally would never eat - containing zero fibre? How about bananas? What else???
BONUS QUESTION - I take Metamucil daily (the powder-mixed-in-water kind). When should I stop taking this?
