I see my gi tomorrow Uceris isn't working, I go to the bathroom blood and some blood clots like from where my fissure was and reopened or tore or whatever, it leaks too! Do they usually prescribe antibiotics or pred?

I'm going to ask about new biologic, I need diff treatment pred after three weeks I start to bloat bad , nite sweats, and so on.

5asa make me have uncontrolled bms.

Anything new out there to try ?? Thanks all

Not entirely sure what you've tried, but there's the immunesuppressants (Imuran, 6MP) and the biologics (Remicade, Humira, Simponi). Antibiotics aren't a standard treatment for UC.

Vedolizumab is the newest med, but you may have a hard time getting any insurance company to approve it yet: it still is extremely new.

Sorry the 5-ASAs didn't work. Have you tried more than one brand of 5-ASA? It's conceivably possible you may have had a bad reaction to the coating rather than the active ingredient.

I don't ever remembering trying a steriod enemas, I will ask about it tomorrow.
