I had some bloodwork done and the white blood cell numbers are a little low. They're actually within range, but just barely, and it says the target range is defined as being from the 2.5th to the 97.5th percentiles. So comparing my numbers to the target ranges it looks like I have lower white blood cell count than 19 out of 20 people or so. I haven't spoken to my doctor about it yet, his office just sent me the results with no commentary.
Does anyone know if that's a good thing for UC? It seems like it would be but I don't want to jump to conclusions. My UC is in remission and I only take mesalamine.
My platelet count is also just the faintest sliver above the the low end of the range. I sort of expected that because I get nosebleeds from eating too much tuna, ha. And I tried supplementing with fish oil once and got the most nightmarish nosebleeds.
