Remember, you are only in remission once your gi has done an endoscope, biopsies are taken and both confirm remission. Only at that time should you reduce to maintenance dosages, as the literature says. It seems you think you are instantly in remission the moment you stop pred, and that is not the case. I've been waiting 2.5 years for remission, hasn't happened yet.
Stop fixating on dates and let your symptoms dictate what you do. First, get off pred. Second wait a month and make sure you are stable before considering anything else. And in the even you do reduce your meds, as you seem insistent on doing despite many of us saying not to, only do one medication at a time. Wait 3-4 weeks, then do the second. Otherwise, doing both at once, you won't know which you needed and which you do not.
