FYI if you have kids.

Don't know who is right or not but,exposure to ground up tires for years perhaps not good.

Cancer cluster.

Wow, this is worrying. It seems fairly clear that there is a serious problem, and not enough research has been done!

What is particularly worrying is that this synthetic turf is being used in kiddies playgrounds throughout America, I would be very worried if I had a toddler playing on these.

I know its makes sense to run to the makers of this stuff and ask them for proof that says to the contrary but I mean come on who the hell is going to say oh yeah our stuff causes cancer.

Ugh. Is this also the same stuff they put down at playgrounds now? My sons' school just underwent a total renovation and the new playground surface is this rubbery "carpet" like mat.

I hope not, but it could be.

What annoys me more than anything is that there are FOUR known toxins in tires, and when you think these synthetic turfs are placed outside...what then happens to these synthetic turfs with the suns intense heat on them?..it just seems like common sense to me that this is not a good idea.
