What is changing in colon.

I was thinking about some things with UC and here is what bothers me. If it starts down ( rectum or really near ) I think that maybe there are some changes that are going in our colon from down to illeum. Now i think that some theories about our body becomes allergic to some good bacterias in our colon are not right.
It will be great if we could find what are those changes.
just one more thing I really believe that chrohn and UC are more different than lot of people think.
can you please tell me your opinions.

Eating good healthy unprocessed foods that are rich and dense in nutrients can only help your body to recover, whereas eating processed junk food that is full of chemicals will surely lead only to more problems. I believe these chemicals trigger genes to switch on and cause an autoimmune response. Once triggered its difficult to impossible to get them to stop. Just my 2 cents, and im used to being belittled.
