Aloe vera

Just wondering if anyone has tried aloe vera juice for uc?

been drinking it daily for like a year now, just don't take too much a day as it might increase BM frequency, i drink something like 3/4 of a cup.

it certainly helps for controlling symptoms, and when i asked my GI about it he told me that aloe helps in healing wounds and renewing tissues so it should help.

I take Higher Nature Aloe Vera Juice which I have been told by my naturopath that is the best and most potent one. It is expensive at £22 a bottle but you only need to take like a capful a day. I have not yet started it and just got it in the post the other day.

when i was in a much worse condition, i found it to reduce bleeding and spasms (pain) i still drink it even while being well for maintenance, i know someone that drank aloe alone which cured their diverticulitis.

Granted Aloe alone wouldn't touch my pancolitis but every little bit helps.

i drink "Dena Aloe vera" and "OKF aloe king" brands.
