I have been a Crohn's patient for most of my life after a very successful bowel resection @ age 16. Have always made multiple trips to restroom. Recently a gastro put me on Apriso, blue horse tables 4 every morning, .375 strength. So far I have found this "wonder drug" to be not only outrageously expensive but totally useless. It has made my trips to the bathroom just as frequent as before as another poster said I won the marathon race to the restroom because of the fierce force of liquid stool and gas that needed to pass pronto. My stools are nearly solid water now, after being on Apriso. I was then told to take a pricey priobiotic which didn't do anything to slow the flow. I have been missing 1/3 of my colorant 2-3 feet of small intestine since the resection. Seems to me with a shorter intestinal tract, you can't stop much less slow the number of pit stops. Apriso also has given me nausea and ruined my appetite, you would think I'm pg but I'm am a guy so no pg. I promised my gastro I would try this Crapo apriso until my next follow up, but very disappointed with increased frequency of watery stools, which apriso was supposed to fix. Just an awful drug and very expensive with no results yet.
