pharyngitis leading to flare

Hi everybody, after being 4 months in remission I'm afraid that I am flaring again. I was having 4g of mesalamine pills daily and one mesalamine enema (4g) every other day. Then one week ago I caught a pharyngitis and although I am getting better of it I have noticed a secondary effect... I'm bleeding again. I've increased my medication regimen to a daily enema but I'm seeing more blood every day. I am trying to get in touch with my GI but I've hadn't luck yet. I am not in an emergency, I am starting to have some disconfort and I have a normal number of daily bms but I don't like the trend of the bleeding.

Maybe it's too soon to worry, I don't know. It's mysterious how a flare start. I haven't had NSAIDs or antibiotics and my pharyngitis has not been severe, just a tipical viral pharyngitis, no high fever.

Thanks kazbern, It's easier to face this illness when you can talk with people that understand IBD.

I don't have much faith in steroid enemas, I've tried once budesonide enemas without luck (maybe few days, maybe dosage was not high enough). I was amazed with the effectiveness of mesalamine ones... until today. I hope things get better soon.
