Weekend infusion center in DC?

Since Humira is not working for me, I might try to go back on Remicade, which worked great. But I need to find a place to get infusions on the weekend in the DC area. Any info appeciated! I do not have a GI in DC yet, either.

You should check out the Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. They have an IBD center with a couple of docs that basically just see us IBD patients. The infusion center on site has weekend hours.
My doc is Mark Mattar and he is excellent. These folks really care. They get a team together each year for the CCFA Take Steps walk/fundraiser, they have a great support staff that helps you out with insurance issues, and they have a dedicated "IBD nurse practitioner" that's easy to get in touch with if you are flaring. Check them out.

Whoa, Peety! Did you tell us you were switching to Humira? If so, I missed that post. I've been thinking we didn't hear from you lately 'cause you have everything under control. Take good care, eh? / Old Hat (34 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

I poked around for advice, but probably didnt post! Demanding new job in DC made infusions a problem, so I thought I would try Humira. It was immediately apparent that it didnt work for me. I'm bummed to be dealing with a bad gut again. Hopefully I can figure out how to get back in track.

UGH, that's really unfortunate that you had to switch when Remi was working so well for you, sorry to hear that the Humira isn't cutting it for you...hopefully you'll find a place to get your Remi infusions and keeping fingers crossed it will help you again, if not then at least there are other biologics around now.
