Acne and Prednisone

I have another question about the dreaded acne I'm dealing with. I was on prednisone for 10 weeks, and have been off it for 10 weeks. The acne was really bad on the back of my neck and face, but has been relatively clear for about 3 weeks. It's now all over my chest and back. Is this from the prednisone or something else? It's very cystic which is what I've always gotten from prednisone, just weird how it's moved spots like that. So frustrating and painful. The antibiotic Minocin has worked really well for me in the past to get rid of acne, I'm just scared to give it a shot because for the first time in 3 years I'm actually feeling pretty good and I don't want to mess that up. Any input/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I had such bad acne last time I took pred, it seriously pushed me to my breaking point. I had cystic ones and they were all over my face. I am in my 30s and I feel like I am way too old to deal with acne. They all left scars too. When I stopped pred, I fought to get the skin looking halfway normal for SO long. I think in your case, you just have to stick it out, try topicals and wait for it to pass. I wouldn't take anything that might upset your colitis. I am sorry :(

I have some acne that hasn't gone away from prednisone I never had such bad acne till I was diagnosed with UC and I started steroids right when I was diagnosed.
