Go look online today and search for Gastro who got recorded while giving a colonoscopy and didnt know it! You will not beleive what they said and did to the poor patient!

There is one bad group but there are probably hundreds who are amazing and wouldn't talk like that.

Clearly this patient didn't trust them and chose to record the procedure.

Ok thank you! Its good to know I am not the only one who got so mad at this treatment of another human being. I loathed the part where she said these people are way to into their illness! Makes twighlight look doale to me now!

I never have been fully sedated for a colonoscopy.

I felt a sigmoidoscopy and will never get scoped awake again, I personally don't really care what they say or do (if anything) while I'm under, I'd rather "be under" indefinitely anyway because too many people do suck in this world. I recall this discussion when it was first revealed here at HW earlier this year and it was appalling I agree, but honestly I find having IBD, IBS and lactose intolerance appalling as well and way more humiliating living with it daily.

Yes...I can feel the air and definitely some discomfort going around the bends splenic and hepatic flexure. Last scope I felt almost nothing except a tiny amount of discomfort. There were times I felt it a LOT, and swore, lol. It's like the worst possible period cramps. But it's not like that through the whole scope, and on the way back you get to see all the biopsies..like little alien teeth chomping...haha.

I've never been knocked out for c-scopes. I request that...but nicely mellowed feeling the meds.

Yeah, I remember this thread, it really upset me, the fact that people in such positions would abuse them. It was a sad day when I read this!
