I'm glad you're in remission. That stinks on being sick more often. I only got sick once per year on 6mp, my normal.
Many pathogens are transferred by us touching objects like door handles and then touching our faces. I found it helpful to be a vigilant hand washer after touching such shared vectors. Nothing is foolproof, sometimes pathogens are airborne, but it seemed to help.
Simple example, I wash my hands before leaving the work bathroom, use a paper towel to dry my hands, and then reuse the paper towel on the door handle to open it. Conveniently the trashcan is next to the door, so I throw the towel away after opening the door as I exit.
I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer on my desk if I shook someone's hand or opened a conference room door, etc.
If you have any subconscious habits of touching your chin or other areas of your face, then try to break those habits.
