Budesonide, or general oral steroid side effects

I apologize about my frequent posts lately, just have had a lot of questions. Anyone have experience with budesonide? If so, have they experienced it making them pretty tired and drowsy? I'm always tired and fatigued when flaring, but it seems I've been more tired since starting the oral budesonide (entocort steroid 9mg). Just curious if anyone has experienced similar side effects.

Fatigue is a tough one with multiple potential causes. Uc flares cause fatigue, as do low iron levels (anemia) and low vitamin b and d.

I haven't heard of steroids making one tired.

I agree with iPoop that it is hard to pin down the cause of fatigue with UC because the flares themselves cause fatigue. That said, I was more tired on Uceris as well. Never had that issue with pred. (even at the lower dosages). Now I could say the fatigue was from the flare, however, I had the fatigue even after Uceris put my flare back into remission (I was still on the Uceris). The extra fatigue (and I say extra because since UC I have gone from moderate fatigue when in clinical remission to extreme fatigue when flaring...there never seems to be a non-fatigue phase) went away to my "normal fatigue" when I finally went off the Uceris.
