Hi everyone I joined this forum about 2~ months ago and I recently had an end ileostomy done. I guess I don't really have a super big reason to be around here anymore, but I'll definitely check in every now and then to see if I could give some of my own wisdom/experiences.

I wanted to thank everyone for all the support and helpful answers that I've gotten. It's been great. This community is wonderful.

I wish everyone good luck with their UC and remember to stay strong!! We've all been through hell and I know for sure that all of you are the bravest, strongest people out there. :)

I'd say surgery is a new beginning and not really a goodbye. We have multiple regular posters who have j-pouches and a couple with end-ileos. So, I'd encourage you to stick around and post as well.

Congrats on being uc-free. How's everything been since the end-ileo, big improvement I hope?

iPoop, life has been really great. I've already started introducing some foods into my diet, but taking it easy. I still get tired easily sometimes, but for the most part I'm feeling good.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I'll definitely stick around!

I am so excited for you. You sound very grounded and positive. I saw your post in the other thread and it made me genuinely happy to know you're feeling well. Having surgery is probably one of the hardest decisions we will make in our lives, but you're right, it is so worth it to be able to live better lives and to see a future full of opportunity instead of a future full of toilets, doctors and expensive medication.
