Symptoms back, started Entyvio

I started Entyvio last week and my next infusion is next week. When I started it, I was still on procto foam, flagyl and another antibiotic. Now that I'm off, the blood is starting again. I had a follow up appt with my doc this past Tuesday and the next day- I had an accident :/ and then the blood started yesterday.

I'm so worried. He said if this didn't work (the foam, and meds), he was going To refer me to a surgeon. I was doing so well and had such expectations for the Entyvio. This weekend I'm at my boyfriends family's house - not ideal- and then travelin 5 hours south to get home tomorrow (and that's after a family reunion).

My next infusion is Monday. Give it a few days and call the doc if it gets worse?

My understanding of Entyvio is that is slow acting -- 6-14 weeks. You should be on something until it has a chance to work. Are you on any meds besides the Entyvio?

I'm on Uceris until next week and then swriching to Liadia.

Can you add the proctofoam back in? I understand that is a pretty low dose of steroids and of course topical only.

Yea I might call the doc on Monday and try and nip it in the butt right away. Frustrating thought, you know? The procto foam worked really well.

Even better than proctofoam might be cortifoam. You definitely shouldn't give up hope. Entyvio doesn't work overnight. I am sure you will be okay once things are managed.

I wouldn't stop anything until entyvio has shown a clear improvement after 12-14 weeks. Waay too soon. Get back on the rectal steroids asap.
