30 minute naps should not interfere with sleep at all. I take them in the evening no problem as long as I set a 30 minute limit. When flaring, you need more sleep and rest. You can try it and see what happens.
If you have a private office, you can sneak in a 20-30 minute nap during the day. That is ideal if you can do so.
