Hello- just curious for those of you who have tried Humira... how long did it take to see results? I just had my 3rd injection, (4.5 weeks in). I am a little worried. I'm not feeling a whole lot better yet. I know they say it could take up to 3 months. The other issue with me right now is I just finished my prednisone taperš”

It took about
6 weeks to see an improvement. At 8 weeks I felt like I was in remission, adding foods that were previously off limits, etc. Hope you feel better soon, give it some more time. Also, keep in mind that if you can always increase the dosage to weekly and/or add Aza/6MP to give it a boost. Good luck!

Usually by 6 weeks in, you'll see at least a partial improvement in your symptoms if you're going to get one from humira (and about
63 percent do get a response). It's a little harder to gage improvement in your symptoms if you were also tapering down pred. Keep things stable for a few more weeks (don't change anything else).
I found remission by taking all of these meds simultaneously remicade (similar to humira), 6MP, Lialda, rowasa, and prednisone. Sometimes you got to throw a lot at UC to control it. Once you enter remission it takes a lot less meds to sustain it.

It took me about
2.5 months to really feel better and then I was in remission for about
two years from then on

I finally noticed an improvement after my 3rd injection, but I'm still on 35mg of Prednisone and that definitely helps. Just saw my GI and pending bloodwork I'll be increasing my injections to weekly instead of bi-weekly and adding 6MP.
