You might ask for so e recitals to help until you get more infusions in you. I used uceris foam during day and canasa suppositories at night or uceris am and pm to help with symptoms in between infusions. Now I'm down to just canasa at night as one section of my colon still shows microscopic colitis. But I mainly have symptom relief which is huge!

Entyvio is supposed to be safer due to its Site Specific Immunomodulator (SSI) capabilities. Whereas tnf-alpha-blockers like remicade/humira are systematic immunomodulators.

Entyvio still suppresses the immune system within the gut, so stomach flus and other GI bugs are still more common on it.

The only downside, is entyvio takes 12-14 weeks for a response in some patients. Whereas, TNF-alpha responds in 3-6 weeks in most. Really depends how bad you're flaring, and how bad your quality of life is.

Insurance often stipulates must've previously failed a tnf-alpha, before starting entyvio. So check with your insurance before getting your heart set on entyvio.

So I just failed off of imuran (I had a reaction to it and it was making my liver numbers go up). On Lialda still but it's not doing anything, and just finished my second pred taper this year. The pred has been really helpful, but now that I've been off it a few days the symptoms are starting to creep back. My doctor says entyvio is the next thing and I'm a little anxious about it but glad to read your stories.
