I was on prednisone for 15 days. 60mg for 5 days 40mg 5 days and 20 for 5. Two weeks after stopping my weight shot up 10 lbs. now a month off I'm 15 pounds over. My diet is really good gluten, sugar and dairy free. How's long does this last?

Prednisone causes temporary water retention/swelling that we loose fairly quickly after we stop the pred (within a couple weeks) and that can be a pound or two. The rest is weight gain from prednisone's insatiable appetite and that only comes off over the long term through responsible eating and light excercise. I gained 16 pounds over a 6 month course of prednisone, stopped pred in January 2017 and I've lost 10 of those pounds already.

I also can't sleep since being off the prednisone for over a month. I'm starting to think I have Cushing syndrome. I can't sleep, can't loose the weight, no emotion. It's been over a month since I stopped. I hope this goes away soon. Is there anything I can take to ease my adrenals back to normal ?

You can always see an endocrinologist doctor to have your hormone levels checked, including cortisol from your adrenals. A month off of pred, there's no way pred is the culprit.
