I am tapering down from 40mg prednisone. I did a little over a week at 30mg and then went down to 20mg on May 4. I didn't notice any changes going from 30 to 20mg until (maybe) today. I've started to have a lot of dizziness since this afternoon. Is this a side effect of tapering the pred? Is it even possible to have withdrawal type symptoms at 20mg? I thought that didn't happen until you got down to 15mg or lower...
I initially assumed the dizziness was from allergy congestion (something I have a longstanding problem with but resolved on pred thanks to it calming the inflammation in my sinuses). So I took meclizine which always works for me and it did absolutely nothing for the dizziness so I know it is not from that. So could it be the prednisone?
(Also it is not low blood sugar because prednisone makes me hoover up all the food in sight.
