Welcome back but sorry you are flaring. Everyone eventually flares, even if they are well treated and follow all of the rules! That's just UC, unfortunately.
What you should do is follow standard flare protocol to get a stool test to check for potential pathogens as a cause to your worsened symptoms, as nasty bugs like C Diff can pop up and mirror a UC flare symptoms.
If your UC extends beyond your rectum, then a rowasa enema has a stronger dose and covers more area than a canasa suppository does. Rowasa, Canasa, and Asacol HD all have the same, exact anti-inflammatory ingredient: mesalamine.
Prednisone is great if your flare is moderate or severe, but can often be avoided with the milder flares. If your flare is mild then I'd first try avoiding pred. And consider 90 percent topical alternatives like steroid enemas, suppositories, foams, or delayed-release oral steroids like Uceris well before trying 100 percent systematic prednisone.
