I think you're just going to have to be patient and wait until you get on your higher dose, but one thing I can tell you is that Remicade has a higher rate of success treating UC compared to Humira, and the dosing is more versatile. Not sure if it would be easier to get what you need going that route, but it may be worth exploring if you don't get the results you need with Humira. MTX is weird because there's really not much evidence of it helping with UC. I was on it + a heavy dose of Remicade when I ended up with septic shock, so I always caution people to be careful and go to the hospital if you have any symptoms that are out of the ordinary. Have you had stool tests recently? Your symptoms sound pretty severe if you're having nocturnal BMs, frequency, urgency, sharts, can't retain rectals... How about Uceris/Pred to attempt to jump start healing? Foam rectals can be easier to retain, but this sounds a little beyond that being the magic bullet. It sounds like steroids or a pathogen (pathogen was always my dream diagnosis but it never happened. It was always severe UC). I hope the increased dose of Humira helps!! On the positive side, for most people, if you wait long enough, things will eventually clam, be it the meds, or timing, or who knows, there is usually an end. For me, after 18 months of living how you described, up all night, can't fart, can't get to work, I decided to have surgery.
