Generic Asacol HD

Has anyone had success with Generic Asacol HD? My insurance is automatically sending me the generic Asacol Hd. I was taking Lialda and they were sending me the generic form of Lialda, and I did not have success with it and had to switch to Asacol Hd. Well, wouldn't you know it, when I picked up my prescription today, they once again sent me Generic Asacol Hd. I haven't started it yet, but just wondering if anyone has had success with it? Little scared to take it, because the generic Lialda did not work.

I took the genetic asacol hd about 6 months back until my insurance company changed. Worked great with no issues. New insurance switched me again to generic lialda, also works great for me.

I suspect generic asacol hd is asacol hd, as it is a licensed generic okayed by the asacol hd manufacturer. Formulation might be identical or close.

Wheras the generic lialda was adamantly opposed by the licenser, shire and fought out in court. Zydus only won because the coating is completely different. Only the dosage (1,200mg pills) is the same. Different delayed-release coating and different all around.
