UC and Hypertension Prescription

Having been on the forum for a while. Have had UC for 50+ years. Was placed on Bystolic about 6 years ago for hypertension and now my Medicare Drug Plan has just denied this Drug. Have not had any issues with my colon taking this drug. Just checking to see what other drugs for hypertension that anyone has used that did not cause a flare or issues.

I use telmisartin, (a different type of medication than yours), but no effects on my gut at all..I dropped the amlodipine for other reasons.

Your doctor should be able to give you other options hopefully close to the same type.

I am on Metoloprol, Losartin & Amlodipine. Over the years I have been on several others & none of them have ever caused me any issues. Have you on something that did not agree with you previously?

I started on Bystolic and have not tried anything else. Insurance stopped covering Bystolic.
