I seem to be cyclical in my flaring. Of course, it never goes away but the best time seems for me seems to be during the summer when I can get out and enjoy the sun and am just happier in general. Late winter/Spring are the worst. I felt like I was dying if not on meds. Anyone else feel the same?

For me, it was unrelated. I live in a place with a pretty decent climate all year, and whether it was beautiful or not so beautiful, I could be flaring. I've had flares that went on for many months. The last one was 18 months - it went from summer to winter to summer.

I've seen a lot of people here who say they notice a relationship & everyone's UC is different. I am sure for some, the down of winter weather could make things worse.

I had flare trouble every late winter/early spring for several yrs that initially would feel like a flu attack coming on. When I finally got on the med that best controlled my UC, that stopped, yay!!!!! Since then I occasionally get some seasonal allergies which can bring on chills + respiratory symptoms, & seem to depend on the amount/type of pollen circulating where I live. This year nothing bothered me 'til linden trees bloomed in the 1st half of June! / Old Hat (37 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
